Ah, back from vacation! We went to Northern Michigan to spend 8 days with Josh's family...hanging out at his parents' cottage on a beautiful lake. It was our first traveling/vacation experience with a baby. I gotta say, she is a trooper. She was amazing on the flights. Barely made a peep on our flight to MI (granted, we did take the red eye so she slept almost the entire time). And on our flight back, she was an angel...(and then the last 20 minutes came and she was getting hungry and it took eons to get a glass of water from the flight attendant. Just how many times do I have to hit the call button before I get some help?
Anyway...my favorite pic of Avery in MI...
We were so blessed to spend so much time with the Olson family, relaxing, swimming, eating (A LOT), boating, playing with the kiddos and just having a good time. We arrived on the 4th of July and were able to see the small town parade in Central Lake, MI. That was great! And then we just got home yesterday.
Here is A in her 4th of July outfit...
Some of the things we did...We went down to Pentwater for a day to celebrate Josh's grandma's 90th birthday! There, we spent time on the beach and out on the waverunner (thanks Judd!) ...Josh and I went on a double date with Josh's sister Jen and her husband Jared while the grandparents watched the kids, fabulous! ...The men spent a day cutting down a tree...which of course the little ones loved. I won the contest to see where the tree would land. :) ...Avery went on her first boad ride...and truly loved the speed. She did not like it when daddy slowed down! Anyway, those are just a few things we spent time doing on vaca. And I just gotta say, there is nothing like the air in Northern MI. It is so clean, fresh, crisp...sure beats the smog-filled pollution we call air out here!
Bear with me...and the oodles of pictures!
Taking a ride in the porsche on our date! (Thanks to Josh's dad!)
