So Cal has 2 new residents!

and we could not be happier! my college roommate and very dear friend, Jenn, and her husband Mike just moved to the LA area from CT. we are so excited! it's hard to believe they are here to stay and not just vacationing. so, saturday, we spent the afternoon with them at the beach. yes, jenn and mike, you do get to live here now. enjoy! :)

rice cereal anyone??

Avery's first attempt at eating solid food...a little bit of formula mixed with some rice cereal. Yum. Needless to say, I don't think she was a big fan of this new phenomenon to her. She didn't have a clue what to do with it...so, most of the food ended up on her bib or on her face. She'll get the hang of it...

Oh and by the way, for those keeping track, Avery turned 6 months old last Friday! And she weighed in at 12lbs. 6oz. Still the little peanut, but, we could not be more proud!

Time to celebrate!

This past weekend we were celebrating the 6's...confused? Well, that would be Avery turning 6 months old and Josh and I being married for 6 years! It was seriously such a great weekend. Josh and I went to a romantic dinner at Shutters on the beach in Santa Monica on Saturday night...Beautiful restaurant. And Sunday, we ventured to Catalina Island! We had a blast...snorkeling, eating, walking around the island, laying on the beach and soaking up the small island vibe that is Catalina. A really fun vaca spot, if you are in the area. :)

Well, it's official. We are big nerds. Apparently, we will do whatever it takes to make our little girl laugh. I'm just glad we are mostly out of the camera shot in these videos. But, here are some precious vids of Avery having a nice big chuckle at the expense of her parents. It was totally worth it!! I know I'm her mom and all, but, I really do think she is the cutest thing I've ever seen. ;)

We also went to the beach on Saturday. Avery was really lovin' the sound of the waves and the breeze in the air. So, yes, she loved the beach! I guess you could say she takes after her momma.

Our brother-in-law Devon and his little boy Jack made the trek down from Seattle to LA to go see the Dallas Cowboys at training camp this past week. It was a blast! Jack had fun snagging the autographs of some of the players...and we had fun watching Tony Romo and Jason Witten play some ball. Avery got in the mix too...although none of the players would sign her forehead. What's up with that??
